Reba McEntire – One Night In Tulsa

Reba McEntire is marking 50 years in music with a structured rollout of new releases, beginning with a series of themed music capsules that blend newly recorded material with defining songs from her catalog. The first installment, One Night In Tulsa, arrives April 17 via MCA, centering on her Oklahoma roots while introducing new music tied to her legacy.
The project’s title track, “One Night In Tulsa,” was previewed April 9 during a performance at Reba’s Place, McEntire’s venue in Atoka, Oklahoma. Written by Neal Coty, Kylie Frey and Thom McHugh, the song reflects a return to the ’90s country ballad style that shaped McEntire’s career, reinforcing the emotional storytelling that established her as a defining voice in the genre.
Each music capsule is designed to pair a newly recorded track with catalog selections that trace McEntire’s artistic evolution. The approach connects past and present, offering a curated listening experience tied to specific themes. One Night In Tulsa highlights her home state, combining the new title track with songs that reference Oklahoma across different stages of her career.
In parallel with the capsule releases, McEntire will launch a series of curated playlists. The first, titled “The Making of Reba,” is set for release May 1 and focuses on her early career, emphasizing foundational recordings that shaped her sound and trajectory. These playlists are intended to complement the capsules, providing additional context around key moments and milestones across five decades.
The rollout underscores a broader retrospective effort while introducing new material that signals continued creative output. With One Night In Tulsa, McEntire opens a multi-part series that reflects both her legacy and forward direction.
