Abbie Callahan – “OptiMYSTIC”
NASHVILLE, TN – Abbie Callahan is set to release her new single, “OptiMYSTIC,” on June 26 while also launching the first headline tour of her career. The announcement marks another milestone for the Nashville-based singer-songwriter as she continues to expand her reach through new music and an increasingly busy touring schedule.
Written with frequent collaborators Emma Klein and Nell Maynard, “OptiMYSTIC” explores faith, spirituality, self-discovery, and acceptance through Callahan’s blend of modern Americana influences and personal storytelling. The song embraces uncertainty while reflecting on the freedom of defining spirituality on individual terms, with lyrical references to Nashville culture, including the Red Door Saloon.
Callahan said the song was inspired by her own evolving relationship with faith and spirituality.
“I wrote ‘OptiMYSTIC’ for anyone who has struggled to find their place within religion or spirituality,” shares Callahan. “I was raised Catholic, but over the years I’ve explored many different expressions of faith. I’ve always been deeply interested in the bigger questions surrounding purpose, faith, and what happens after our time on earth. For a long time, I felt like I was making ‘mistakes’ through the lens of the religion I grew up in, when in reality, many of those experiences were simply part of growing up and learning who I am. Ultimately, I’ve come to believe that leading with kindness, generosity, compassion, and acceptance matters most. To me, this song reflects that journey and the peace I’ve found in that perspective, and I hope listeners connect with it as much as I do.”
In support of the release, Callahan will launch The OptiMYSTIC Tour this August. The headline run includes stops in Washington, Virginia, Massachusetts, and New York before she continues with additional festival and fair appearances later in the year.
The tour will also include a September appearance alongside Martina McBride at the Clay County Fair and a fall run of dates supporting Willow Avalon.
