Nashville, TN – Brian Kelley has released “Jimmy Buffett Summer,” a new single out now through his Nashville South Records imprint.

The track arrives ahead of Fourth of July weekend and centers on Kelley’s admiration for Jimmy Buffett, framing the song around escape, time off the grid and the coastal lifestyle that has long shaped Kelley’s solo output. The release also carries a personal first: “Jimmy Buffett Summer” is the first song in Kelley’s catalog co-written with his wife, Brittney Kelley.

“Brittney and I have built a whole lot of life together, and this song feels like another little piece of our story,” Kelley said. “She’s always been my muse, but writing with her brought a different kind of spark — it was easy, fun and just so us. We’re both huge Buffett fans, and his music has always felt like a reminder to chase the sun, love your people hard, and make memories while you can. That’s really what ‘Jimmy Buffett Summer’ is — a love song to the lifestyle, to the moment, and to the girl I get to live it all with.”

Written solely by Brian and Brittney Kelley, the song was produced by Katlin Owen. The release includes references to Buffett-associated imagery, including LandShark beer, marlin fishing and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” Kelley also sings about checking out from everyday demands, with lyrics that include, “I wanna take a ride on a seaplane for the very first time / Havana daydreaming, a pretty sunrise / No agenda, just pretending that we ain’t coming back / I’m off my phone, oh baby, I’m way off the map.”

“Jimmy Buffett Summer” follows Kelley’s April collaboration with Niko Moon, “B-Y-O-Beach,” which was released with an official music video. Kelley’s recent releases also include “Bought A Boat,” “93 In The Keys” and “Queen Of 30A,” following Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One.

The single is available now across streaming platforms. An official visualizer has also been released.

Later this month, Kelley is scheduled to headline another round of Surf Post Sessions on July 23, 24 and 25. The concert series is held in the backyard of the Tribe Kelley Surf Post in Grayton Beach, Florida, which is owned by Brian and Brittney Kelley. According to the release, the series has had more than 75 sold-out shows since 2022.  Get tickets here.

Kelley, an Ormond Beach native, first became known as one half of Florida Georgia Line. The duo earned 19 career No. 1 singles and became the first and only duo in country music history to have two RIAA Diamond singles, “Cruise” and “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha. Florida Georgia Line has surpassed 17 billion global streams, sold more than 40 million tracks and 4.8 million albums worldwide, and played for more than 4 million fans.

Kelley’s business ventures also include Tribe Kelley with Brittney Kelley, Papa Surf Burger Bar with Brittney Kelley, Jason and Brittany Aldean, and Tom and Chris Glavine, a partnership with Real American Beer, and co-ownership of the Gulf Coast Cowboys Angling Club, a professional sport fishing team in the Sport Fishing Championship league.
