(Arlington, Texas) – What began as a festive Fourth of July weekend turned catastrophic across Central Texas. Flash flooding from torrential storms overwhelmed rivers and communities, claiming 134 lives and leaving 101 people still missing as of the story’s publishing.

Among those devastated is Texas country icon Pat Green, who lost his younger brother, John Burgess Green, and sister-in-law, Julia Anderson Burgess, in the flooding at a campground along the Guadalupe River. Their two sons remain unaccounted for. His niece, who was away at summer camp, survived.

In a heartfelt message shared via Instagram, Pat Green said:

“Over the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family – like so many others – suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss. We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy.”

Now, Green is channeling that grief into purpose.

On Wednesday, July 16 at 6:30 PM CT, Green will headline a livestream-only benefit concert from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, called “Pat Green & Friends: Texas Flood Relief.” The event will feature performances by Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, Eli Young Band, Josh Abbott Band, Corey Kent, Casey Donahew, Joe Nichols, Kaitlin Butts, Ty Myers, Kevin Fowler, and Bob Schneider, with more artists continuing to join the lineup.

There will be no in-person audience. The concert will stream free on YouTube and Givebutter, with 100% of donations going directly to flood victims, rescue efforts, and rebuilding across affected Texas communities.

For Pat Green and the countless families still holding on to hope, this event is more than music—it’s a lifeline.
