Ian Munsick – “Love Is Blind”

Ian Munsick continues his next chapter under WEST TO THE REST RECORDS/Triple Tigers Records with the release of his new single “Love Is Blind,” available now across streaming platforms and set to impact Country radio on April 20.
Written by Munsick alongside Ryan Tyndell and Jeremy Spillman, “Love Is Blind” leans into a love-gone-wrong narrative rooted in a spontaneous creative moment. The track originated during a quiet stretch following the completion of his album Eagle Feather, when Munsick returned home for the holidays and rediscovered inspiration with a guitar that had been sitting untouched.
“‘Good things happen when you pick up a guitar…’” Munsick said. “I had just finished making my last album, Eagle Feather, and was in the midst of enjoying Christmas break at home with my family, away from playing, writing and recording music. My old faithful friend was hanging up on the wall, collecting dust, when those words popped into my head. The signature riff spilled out of my fingers and gave me immediate lyrical inspiration to write the lines ‘Now I’m right in the middle of a bow and a fiddle, tell me, how long have I been getting played.’ ‘Love Is Blind’ wrote itself.”
The song would later play a key role in his partnership with Triple Tigers Records. “Almost a year later, I played a simple guitar/vocal recording for a then potential label partner, Triple Tigers Records and as soon as the last note faded, the label presidents looked at me and said the words that every artist wants to hear, ‘there’s your hit record,’” he added. “Good things happen when I pick up a guitar.”
“Love Is Blind” follows Munsick’s label debut release “Geronimo” and arrives alongside a music video directed by Ben Christensen, shot in Wyoming by Isaac Spotts and produced by Caroline Munsick.
Beyond new music, Munsick continues to expand his brand with the upcoming launch of the Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill, opening in August inside The Landmark Hotel & Casino in Deadwood, South Dakota. The venue will feature over 2,600 square feet dedicated to country and western music, complete with indoor and outdoor performance stages and a design centered on classic country bar aesthetics.
On the road, Munsick is currently in the midst of The Eagle Flies Free Tour, which launched February 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The run includes multiple stops across the U.S. with rotating support from Ben Haggard and Kenny Whitmire, and will culminate in a headlining return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 25, joined by ERNEST and Ned LeDoux.
As he builds toward his next full-length project, “Love Is Blind” marks the latest step in Munsick’s evolving partnership with Triple Tigers and his continued push into Country radio.
