NEEDTOBREATHE marks a major milestone with the arrival of *The Long Surrender*, their tenth studio album, released March 27, 2026 via MCA.

Created during a period of personal reset, the project began with frontman Bear Rinehart writing alone as a way to process change and map out what came next. That approach carried through the full record, resulting in a body of work rooted in unfiltered reflection and a noticeably more direct lyrical voice.

Produced by nine-time GRAMMY winner Dave Cobb and recorded over two weeks at his Savannah studio, the album captures a stripped-back, instinct-driven energy. Much of the material was written solely by Rinehart, giving the record a cohesive perspective shaped by themes of upheaval, faith, and hard-earned clarity.

Bandmates Josh Lovelace, Tyler Burkum, and Randall Harris leaned into that raw creative moment, allowing the songs to take shape without overworking the process. The result is an album that reflects both vulnerability and forward motion, signaling a new creative chapter for the group.

*The Long Surrender* stands as the band’s first release with MCA and a defining entry in a catalog that continues to evolve with intention and honesty.
