Remy Garrison Serves Up Pop-Country Sass with New Single “Sweet ‘N Low”

NASHVILLE, TN — There’s nothing sweet about being played — and Remy Garrison isn’t sugarcoating a thing.

The rising pop-country artist is back with “Sweet ‘N Low,” a sharp-tongued, summer-ready anthem that calls out the kind of guy who looks like a treat and turns out to be toxic. Released today (June 6), the track is a mix of playful sass and hard-earned wisdom — wrapped in catchy melodies, layered harmonies, and an irresistible beat that begs to be cranked with the windows down.

Written by Garrison alongside Austin Cannon, Abbey Cabler, and JB Somers, “Sweet ‘N Low” was inspired by a moment of clarity in the most unexpected place: a writing session and a can of energy drink.

“I was sipping an energy drink in a different writers room and the artificial sweeteners hit me just so and I thought ‘looks like sugar, tastes like betrayal…kind of like my ex,’ one minute he was Prince Charming and then suddenly transformed into red flag central… and the idea for the song was born,” Garrison shared with a laugh. “I hope anybody who has had the script flipped on them hears this and remembers that it’s a reflection on them, not you and to trust your gut and get out!”

That blend of real talk and clever wordplay is quickly becoming Garrison’s signature. Produced by Austin Cannon, the track leans into an R&B-pop-country hybrid sound that feels both fresh and familiar — a fitting vibe for an artist who’s not afraid to blur genre lines.

Garrison kicked off CMA Fest this morning with a live performance at the ASCAP Music Takeover at 6th & Peabody and will meet fans this afternoon at Fan Fair X during a special Nashville Universe appearance.

The Alabama native has been steadily making a name for herself with songs like “Get It Girl” and “Delusional,” the latter of which landed her a spot on SiriusXM’s On The Horizon. Her debut EP Southern Luxury has already surpassed a million streams, and her most recent release, “Clear Liquor,” continued to showcase her fearless approach to songwriting.

With “Sweet ‘N Low,” Garrison proves she’s not just here for the sugar — she’s here to stir the pot.

With over a decade of experience in NASCAR, I’ve built a dynamic career spanning media, public relations, sponsorship acquisitions, and brand representation. My 13-year journey included roles ranging from promotional model—as Miss Valvoline—to business owner, having launched an apparel line specifically tailored for female motorsports fans. I also owned and operated two media outlets within NASCAR, and my work behind the lens led to shooting for Getty Images at some of the sport’s biggest events. These diverse experiences gave me a 360-degree view of the motorsports industry, both on and off the track. Outside of NASCAR, I spent time working in minor league baseball with the Pioneer League—broadening my understanding of sports marketing and fan engagement in a different arena. In addition, I hold a degree in audio engineering and began my career in music at the renowned Sumet-Burnet studio in Dallas, Texas. Having grown up in recording studios from the age of nine, music has always been my first love. My time in Dallas also included hands-on experience in artist booking and management, where I supported emerging bands through label signings, tours, and the often unpredictable realities of the music business.
