ERNEST has announced his third full-length studio album, Deep Blue, set for release May 1 via Big Loud Records, alongside the release of two new tracks, Deep Blue and End Of The Night.

The 13-track project marks a new chapter for the GRAMMY-nominated artist-writer, drawing thematic inspiration from his 2019 debut Locals Only while reflecting seven years of artistic growth. Influenced by the sounds and spirit of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Deep Blue leans into a tropical backdrop that shapes both its tone and storytelling.

The album includes previously released tracks Lorelei and Boat Named After You, along with four outside cuts, a first across ERNEST’s catalog. Those selections pull from songwriters including Toby Keith, Nathan Chapman, David Lee Murphy, Tony Lane, Scotty Emerick, and Paul Overstreet, among others. ERNEST co-produced the project with longtime collaborator Jacob Durrett, marking another first for the artist.

“I want to say thank you to the fans that have been here since the Local Only days,” ERNEST said. “If you are new here, thank you for joining the ride. Most importantly, I want to thank the ocean and the islands. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them. I found myself in that Caribbean water and will always call it home away from home.”

Deep Blue will also be available on a limited deep blue-colored vinyl pressing, including a run of signed copies.
