Grace Tyler Flips the Script on the “Crazy Ex” Trope in Bold New Single, “She Wasn’t Crazy”

Nashville, TN – February 14, 2025 – If you’ve ever been called “crazy” after a breakup, Grace Tyler has your back. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the rising country star is taking on one of the most overused post-breakup clichés with her latest single, She Wasn’t Crazy, out now.

Co-written by Tyler, Ben Foster, and Averie Bielski, the song is a fiery response to men who blame all their exes for their relationship failures. Instead of buying into the label, Tyler shines a light on the other side of the story—the one that doesn’t always get told.

“She wasn’t crazy – even though he said she was,” Tyler shares. “I realized after a breakup that if a guy tells you all his exes were crazy, he’s probably the common denominator. I wrote this song for the exes of my ex, to let them know I see them, and I know what they went through.”

A Deeper Look at ‘Everything I Didn’t Say’

She Wasn’t Crazy is just a taste of what’s to come on Tyler’s upcoming EP, Everything I Didn’t Say, set to drop March 14th. The six-track project takes listeners through the emotional highs and lows of a relationship falling apart—raw, unfiltered, and straight from the heart.

Grace Tyler: Country’s Next Big Name?

Born and raised in Frisco, Texas, Tyler grew up on a steady mix of Dolly Parton, George Strait, and Miranda Lambert, shaping her into the storyteller she is today. After building a name for herself in the Texas music scene, she took a leap of faith and moved to Nashville, where she’s been turning heads ever since.

Her viral breakout single My Mistake first caught fire on TikTok, and she’s been on an unstoppable rise ever since. Tyler has landed on some of country music’s biggest playlists, including Spotify’s Fresh Finds Country and Amazon’s Breakthrough Country, and she’s even been featured on Spotify’s Coastal Cowgirls series in Venice Beach. Last year, she played CMA Fest’s Fresh Finds Stage and Hard Rock Stage, and she’s currently on her first tour opening for Shane Smith and the Saints.

With She Wasn’t Crazy making waves and Everything I Didn’t Say on the way, one thing is clear—Grace Tyler isn’t just here to sing about heartbreak. She’s here to tell the truth, and country music is better for it.

Listen to She Wasn’t Crazy now and pre-save Everything I Didn’t Say before it drops on March 14th.
