NASHVILLE, TN (May 9, 2023) – Dolly Parton, the country superstar and recent inductee into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, is breaking new ground with her first-ever Rock album, titled “ROCKSTAR.” The versatile 77 year-old artist has joined forces up with an extraordinary lineup of musicians, including legendary rockers and today’s biggest stars, to create a 30-song collection that combines nine original tracks with 21 iconic Rock anthems. With a release date of November 17, the album will be available in various formats, including a 4 LP set, a 2 CD set, digital download, and across all major streaming platforms. Butterfly Records will handle the release, with distribution by Big Machine Label Group.

Expressing her enthusiasm about the project, Dolly Parton stated, “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album, ‘Rockstar!’ I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time. Singing all these iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together.”

The tracklist for “ROCKSTAR” features several notable collaborations, including Richie Sambora on the lead track, “Rockstar.” Sting joins Parton for a rendition of “Every Breath You Take,” while Steve Perry contributes his vocals to “Open Arms.” Ann Wilson, along with special guest Howard Lee, appears on “Magic Man,” and John Fogerty joins Parton for “Long As I Can See The Light.” Other notable guest artists include Kid Rock, Steven Tyler, Warren Haynes, Stevie Nicks, Waddy Wachtel, Peter Frampton, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Brandi Carlile, Kevin Cronin, Debbie Harry, Elton John, Melissa Etheridge, Lizzo, Sasha Flute, and many more. The album concludes with an emphatic rendition of “Free Bird,” featuring Ronnie Van Zant, along with special guests Gary Rossington, Artimus Pyle and The Artimus Pyle Band. This record truly features the rock world’s elite in an all-star lineup.
